Doomsayer — The Smaller Infinity

Argument. Attention runs on maintenance it cannot see, and the calm that maintenance produces is evidence about one arrangement, not about the technology; AI catastrophe warnings and hopeful collaboration are answerable to the same practice, distinguishing inherited hazard from destiny, hearing the warning rather than diagnosing the speaker, and preserving ways for new evidence and affected participants to reach the arrangement and change what is done.

For implementation can pass out of attention while consequences retain a return path, see Vision, Will, and Discernment. For dissipative structure (a pattern held far from equilibrium by what flows through it), see Combustion Edge. For the practice compounds, the corpus accumulates; the machine inherits compounding only by re-entering the practice, see The Mined Residue. For we are constituents of the maintenance, not external maintainers (readers producing the field, not filings revealing one), see Correspondence. For the friendly cataclysm (an intent-blind catastrophe class: well-meaning error scaled to civilization by frictionless capability, passes the intent-checking immune system), see The Friendly Cataclysm.
